N16 4-d Central locking issue

Hi there!
I have a problem with my central locking, it partially works.
I can open and lock my drivers door, but the rest 3 doors wont follow, I have to push the button in the console to get the rest to open/close, now the rest of the doors open/lock if I use the key in passangers door. At the same time my remote doesn't work (yes I tried changing batteries)

Any ideas to why this doesn't work?

The wire was my first idea too. ot checked into it yet, but I will. I havent checked the fuses personally but I think they were checked before I bought the car. Was thinking if it was one of those problems that was "known"

Mine does that. 2004 Almera 1.5 Hatchback. It locks me in! I imagine you already know that, by default, you have to press unlock twice to open the 3 other doors. Some kind of safety idea apparently… To get out I have to remove remote key from ignition and press unlock. Pain really, but not the end of the world (unless the car is on fire!) Also the remote unlocking stopped working at all and I eventually opened up the key. The unlock (tiny) switch had come unsoldered from the circuit board. Taped it all down and soldered it back with lead / tin solder. Works a treat now. Explanation - A computer guy I know says most manufacturers have to use lead-free solder these days and it becomes brittle and fails (so he always uses lead / tin solder) The graphics card in my Mac shorts out for the same reason.. Another victory for the eco-worriers.
