Rear fog light not working?

Hi Guys and gals,

Wonder if anyone can throw some light on a problem? Have an n15 on a p plate , 1.4 petrol. Dreaded mot coming up and the rear offside foglight is not working. Don't seem to be getting any volts at the light fitting. The switch on the dashboard has 4 wires onto it???
One seems to be 12v in, theres a connection I think for the earth for the led on the switch (reading a 120k resistance on switch) but what are the other 2 wires? I was thinking one might be for the little foglight symbol on the display? I was also thinking there may be a break in the wire between front and back so was going to rig a wire from the switch to the back, but dont want to overload anything. Is the rear fog light controled by a relay and if so where would it be?
Cheers

The rear fog light relay is at the box with various relays (horn, a/c etc) in the engine bay at the left

it's the E20 in the above picture
E16 = A/C relay
E12 = cooling fan relay
E13 = horn relay

If the relay and the fuse is good,maybe a wire has broken in the main loom that in the grommet near the tailgate hinge.

Does these even have 2 rear fogs...A lot of cars only have one.

Been banging my head on this one all weekend. if I pull the relay and stick a wire link in the light come on so wiring good. if I meter the relay socket there is 12v on the coil. I checked the relay on bench with power supply and it works. on the back of the switch there are 5 wires. on metering the socket one appears to be 12v into switch and opposite corner is the output to the relay coil (buzzed for continuity) the other 3 holes on the connector are all short to earth? if I buzz the switch i can only see a connection between the input and the output to the relay?? knackered switch or bad earth for the relay coil?????
cheers

post your email address so i can send you the electical datagram for the rear fog circuit. Do you have ph1 or ph2 N15?
