2004 Almera Cuts Out

Hi All,

My 2004 Nissan Almera 1.6 Comfort Line cuts out at high revs. It starts straight after it has cut out but the Engine Management Light comes on. It does that all the time when I rev it beyond 4500 rpm. The car does not idle strange, no miss when idling, no jerking when driving. I have cleaned the MAF and stripped the complete air induction kit to the fuel injection unit and cleaned that. I replaced the air filter also.

yes its OBD2, unless you have a friend at the mechs the cost of a simple code scan could be 50$

cheap scanners with bluetooth that connect to your smartphone can be had for under 5£

if its a camshaft sensor code probably means the chain needs replacing, it could just be the sensor itself though
