GRP Parts, now available

ill be interested in buying a grill mate. also can you do the VZR rear spats? just an idea, ive been after some of these for ages lol.

Im actually doing bonnets and skirts at the moment.. but ive only got onto the almera stuff this week..

Ive ZERO N16 parts in apart from a turbo manifold.. so if somthing wants doing.. I need an original.. I CAN get these no problem.. but I need an order at least to cover my costs..

I plan on doing pretty much anything that you cant get hold of.. or theres a market for.. and if people are after Ph1 skirts and splitters im happy to mould them.. again as above.. I need a minimum order to cover costs.. only 2 or 3 people should cover the initial outlay though.. So at least im breaking even.

( Ive already got ph1 skirts floating about iirc )

..a plain skin would need pins / aerocatches.. or fixing at the back some other eway.. I could make a mount suitable for this.. and embed a small plate for fixings.. ill be looking into this this week..

I AM looking to make the full bonnets direct fit.

I know.. neither do I actually.. hence the full bonnets will have GRP top and bottom skins.. with mounts.. and bonnet latch..

Carbon bonnets will have a carbon top skin, with GRP bottom skin and mounts and latch..
 
What about using the OEM bonnet skeleton with a Carbon skin over it? Would be strong and lighter!
You could even cut out the middle of the skeleton, and just retain the mounting points at the back and the latch at the front :)

I like the sound of that Joe.

I know what Joe means but just so someone else doesnt get confused he means lighter than OEM, not lighter than full GRP.

Lighter than OEM.. but probably stronger and easier to make than full GRP or whatever.
I think I'd trust the OEM Nissan latching and mounting systems more than made-up ones.

I know its a big item to copy but i have a spare P1 SRi/GTi bumper if you wanted to mould it?

also a spare P2 plate surround.

and a P1 Spoiler
 
It's always good to see more "bits" being made for our Almera's.
I've no intention of purchasing a bonnet, but i'm just wondering what the actual weight saving is?
 
Im definalty on the look out for hard to find items that will make this more readily available..

I think the VZR spats in carbon would look ace..

Ill stick some pics up tonight of the open grill..
 
I weighed my stock N16 bonnet and it was 17.5kg. Managed to take it on and off myself with no bother too.
