VE's don't work well with log manifolds when turbo'd. You need a decent custom made tubular manifold if you want to make good power.

Well it would cost you a fair amount of time, effort and money to do a head swap when you could just remove the VE and swap in a cheapo DE. I reckon selling the VE bottom end should be easy enough as it has squirters etc.

That's a lot of work for no real point. Fit a cheap GTi engine and remove the 20VE. Obvious really.
