I'd suggest WD-40 to ease the locks as I can only imagine a lot of force needed to bend the metal my key was made from. As for the short shifter wouldn't be without it, has made a difference to the stock throw even my pal who drove it when it was first bought and drove it to JAE was impressed...

I recently replaced mine on my DCi was much easier than I first thought it would be. I would suggest loosening the fluid cable bolt slightly before undoing the bolts for the cylinder. We crimped the hose before taking this off & only issues were lack of space on the DCi to reach the bolts...
