Hello : help needed identifying engine type!

It would be a lot easier taking the engine out and doing it to be honest. I heard from someone you had to take it out to so the chain anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is a dual usb plug safe?

What car are you wiring it to? It would be easier to hard wire it I'm. Buy yourself a ciggy lighter on eBay or a scrap yard and wire it into the back of the radio and run the wire to where you want it and the wires will be hidden Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    hub boss almera n16

It's a phase 1. The boss will work but the self cancelling won't work. Your better off just getting a p10 boss

    hub boss almera n16

yes but that only has the boss with no Indicator cancelling or horn wiring. Is yours a phase 1 or phase 2?

    hub boss almera n16

A primera p10 one fits a N16 phase 2. The self cancelling indicators won't work but apart from that it's a straight bolt on you will need to remove the air bag light or bypass it with a resistor and wire in a horn. Do you have a phase 1 or phase 2. I have p10 steering boss with a back plate...

    Darren198712's new car

Well here we go It's a 2006/2007 Audi A4 2.0 TDi special edition Quattro. With optional Bose audio and xenon lamps, auto lamps, auto dimming centre mirror and leathers The special edition has black instead of chrome around the windows and a bit more colour coding So far mods wise is retrofit...

    Darren198712's new car

well I rather have a inlet manifold runner fail on a 3.0 v6 then a oil pump balancer shaft go on a 2.0. When I brought the car I had to replace the turbo. Timing belt and a service. 4 months down the line the dpf light come on so I had to remap and remove the dpf and egr valve. So far it's ok.

    Darren198712's new car

If I went back to a Japanese motors it will have to be petrol and with a pre 2000 motor in it. Maybe a n16 with a sr20 or something similar The Japanese don't make good diesels hence why they are sourced from other manufactures. Look at Mazda engine diesels suffering with dpf issues and the...

    Darren198712's new car

I need to turn up to some meets. Could turn up in the Audi as a support car lol. I might be getting rid of it soon but I can't find another one I like. I want a 3.0 Quattro because it outperforms the 2.0 and has the same if not better mpg. Also 2.0 tdi engine is very poorly designed due to the...

    N16 DCi-R

sadly I don't have enough time for projects otherwise I would have another Nissan. As for the Audi I sold it and brought another one same shape but in red and Quattro. yeah too old for dpf which is good. Dpf are one of the biggest killers these day. New dsg's are going to kill cars as well.

Right it's been a long time. I have been busy working and have not had time. And since I move to Audi I have rarely been on here. I have a Audi a4 b7 2.0 170bhp tdi Quattro special edition in red I will post up pics soon. I really do miss my Mera but I don't have time anymore to do massive...

diesel cats and dpf's are not part of a mot so you can have them mapped out or you can just fit them
  15. Darren198712

    N16 DCi-R

I'm pretty sure it's the map sensor that detects the change in pressure when the egr is open and closed and by blacking it off the pressure does not change. This is why it throws a code.

    N16 DCi-R

lol fair enough. permanent feeds are located behind radio, fuse box on driver side.
  20. Darren198712

    N16 DCi-R

it would of been easier getting it from the back of the radio as there is a 12V permanent feed there
