How so? It's one of the most unreliable engines made in recent times. It's under powered, expensive to run and I'll say it again, French.

The Autech engine code is SR20DE. The stock Autech ecu looks exactly the same as the other one you have there. The only reason the nistune was being used was to allow he use of an Almera GTi maf as the stock Autech Maf is shit.

The engine is a DE and the ecu is for an Autech. It wouldn't run on a GTi ecu, they are completely different engines. It's probably down on power because it needs a good service but trying to use the nistune will make no difference.

Yes. They are 175hp for like 1 second at the top of the Rev range and take hours to get there. The Autech engine great.

The someone you've been speaking to hasn't got a clue. The 1.6vvl engine would be a lot slower with much less torque than the Autech engine.

Where have you had that information from?
A GTi is 143hp but an Autech is 175hp with a shorter ratio LSD box. It's a much quicker car.
