    N14 SR20 Hillclimb car

Car needs more work before it gets more power that's partly why its not going in straight away. Other reason is it will get gas flowed, set of n1/20v combo cams and compresion needs to be bang on so will need to do some sums and figure out what pistons and hg to run. Plus the afore mentioned...

Latest update is I've finally succumbed to the darkside and purchases a 20v head for it. Will be a couple of seasons before it gets itself onto the car as i'll need to get a new inlet made for the itbs and changed the ecu out for something with cam switching capabilities but ve is the future for it.

First weekend done with mixed results. No testing bit me in the arse a bit as Saturday was plagued with fueling problems. Got it all ironed out saturday night though and Sunday was great. Ended up 3rd in class knocking 2.5 seconds off my pb.

Don't know how it goes yet, only had it on and off the trailer! Off to the dyno tomorrow to get the fueling checked and map tweeked. Theres zero reinforcements went in forward of the front struts sam. The legs are still intact as is the front cross member so that the engine is still held in...

    N14 SR20 Hillclimb car

I've taken out about as much as I can within the regulations. I'm not allowed to remove anything between the wheel centres. its near enough 700kg dry weight now, can probably get just below the 700 with a lighter seat, steering wheel and some lighter engine components but theres not much else...

Found a bearing that had the same od as the casing recess with i slightly smaller ID than the stock bearing. Got the diff machined to fit the bearing. Haven't used it yet but shouldn't imagine it will be an issue. If anything it should be an improvement over stock as its a slightly beefier...

Hi folks, Not been on in a while so wee update. Had a disaster of a year last season, broke a driveshaft at the second event. Obviously it was the short vzr shaft that broke so finding a replacement was a bastard (although I have since found out you can get a complete shaft from nissan with...

Header is on the list but to be honest I'm struggling a bit with that. Not really sure what my best option is header wise? Availability doesnt seem to be that good. I see gspec do a header now but not sure if its any good? I also need to modify the exhaust so that I can mount the diffuser so...

4cw crank, eagle rods, 16ve pistons, cosworth bearings and head gasket, ve oil pump, fidanza flywheel, coil pack ignition from a crank trigger wheel, c3 cams with r/r followers. Rotating assembly was also all balanced. Yes it does have a scabby ebay header which is attached to 2.5" mandrel bent...

Simples is a wee bit of and exageration. Not as if sleaves are an off the shelf option. It would be a damn site cheaper to modify the block. It would be possible I suppose to bore out the head bolt holes in any other head to 12mm without to much dramas. 54c head with c6m's could be interesting!

    N14 SR20 Hillclimb car

Ve would be an expensive option though. Id have to pull the engine out and pull a freshly rebuilt bottom end apart. The ecu I have won't control the vvl so i either need to upgrade it or get window switches. I also think with a vvl head id struggle on some of the tighter hills to keep it on...

    N14 SR20 Hillclimb car

Since the last event above I have managed to attend 1 hillclimb, completing 1 run and snapping 1 drive shaft. Had it on the rollers before that to check all was well after its first weekend and it made 203bhp which is exactly the same as it did the first time it was mapped. I have to admit that...

Good to know something exists. Tried a few bearing companies and keep drawing a blank! Its handling really well this year, turn in is bang on, just struggling to get out of the corners without spinning up the wheels.

The one in the spare box is fucked. I dont want to take the box out of the car to try and remove that bearing to then fuck it up and be completely screwed with no gearbox.
