    New Almera owner from London!

Welcome to the forum mate. Old Nissan are very tough cars and can take a good beating so you'll be glad to know there's not a lot to maintain mechanically. The engines in these cars are chain driven which means no cambelt changes to worry about. Just basic servicing of oil, filters and plugs...

    18 inch alloys

I've seen 18s done on Meras plenty of times even when sat low on coilovers so I presume you'd be alright. Only thing I'm not sure on is what exact tyre size you'd in terms of width and profile.

Black N15 in Willington/Crook area of County Durham

Spotted last week in Willington. Looks like it's been treated to some goodies. Is this anyone's on here? Always nice to see another modified Almera local in the north east.

Is it possible to fit a front anti roll bar and is it worth doing?

Mine has power steering and driver's airbag. No rev counter though lol. Tbh, I'd say that its simplicity has worked favourably over its 17 years of existence.

Is it possible to fit a front anti roll bar and is it worth doing?

Ah ok, that's interesting. Where was the improvement shown? Also, are there any other suspension related components you would recommend upgrading? I've got a GTi front strut brace (though it has been modified to fit my struts so only uses the 2 outer top nuts)

Is it possible to fit a front anti roll bar and is it worth doing?

Well in that case, I'll get some rear trailing arm bushes first and see how I get on with those then I may consider a front ARB. Cheers for your input guys.

Is it possible to fit a front anti roll bar and is it worth doing?

Maybe there's a chance it could have been removed before I owned the car but there definitely isn't one. It is a poverty spec car mind so I'm not sure if it was supposed to come with an ARB or not.

Is it possible to fit a front anti roll bar and is it worth doing?

Hi guys, My 1.4 Almera Equation is currently on lowering springs with standard struts (KYB Excel G on the rear). I'd say its handling has improved massively. I definitely want to add some Superpro rear trailing arm bushes at some point. However, my car doesn't have any anti roll bars at all so...

    Nige's N15

I've seen it in the flesh before and the results are absolutely stunning! I just can't believe that it's the same car that it started out as or even the one I saw early this year when I first met you haha

    GTi parts

Euro Car Parts is definitely worth a look mate. Thats where I went for parts such as the ones you mentioned. Most parts from there are very well priced.

    Orange Almera 5 door

Just out of curiosity does anyone know who this Almera used to belong to? A friend of mine spotted it in one his old Max Power mags and shared it on my Facebook wall. I've also seen this car in the Reverend Bob Torque Show.

Where can I find those particular kits mentioned bud? That seems like a decent enough price

    Upgraded Dampers for N15

I've actually got a set of purple lowering springs sitting in the house designed for Ph1 model Almera 1.4/1.6. That's in addition to what's fitted on my car. Would those work with the dampers you mentioned?

    Upgraded Dampers for N15

What kind of work would be needed mate? It's an interesting option. Also is there a chance I'm on mismatched dampers and springs with the back end sitting higher than the front?

    Upgraded Dampers for N15

Hey guys, I'm currently on 40mm lowering springs (rear sits higher than the front) at the moment but I will need to replace the rear shocks at some point. I was wondering if there were any upgraded/adjustable dampers available for Almera N15s. I've searched this forum and the internet but can't...

    Newbie from Durham with N15

Nice - decent alloys make a heck of a difference. Yours is a N15 Equation, right? Does that mean it has the grey plastic bumpers or are they faded / from another car and need to be matched to the body? Just wondering how much that kind of job might cost as i'm planning on replacing bumpers...

    welding! is it worth it.

Yes, I'd definitely say it's worth getting welding done mate. Just ask about for anyone who does then see how much they charge. I got both sides on mine done for £70, but it was a driveway jobbie that wasn't too pretty (not that I'm bothered as it's not an area you usually see anyway)

Where the Almera may have got it's old person's car reputation from

A lot of you may know that to non-enthusiasts, the Almera (aside from any sporty models) is/was a car for old people. You might think that because it is a plain looking car that happens to be very reliable and doesn't really give any problems. Well it turns out that this TV show from back in the...
