18 inch alloys

Hi guys just a question I'm thinking of getting some 18 inch alloys for my 1999 almera gti.
Has anyone ever put 18 inch alloys on a almera before and had any issues?

I've seen 18s done on Meras plenty of times even when sat low on coilovers so I presume you'd be alright. Only thing I'm not sure on is what exact tyre size you'd in terms of width and profile.

It will look absolutely ridiculous. The wheels on Almeras should never ever be more than 16".
