Alternative to RS5F30A FB41 tranmisson

I have a 2005 almera and I recently broke the spider gears in my RS5F30A gear box, so i was wondering if there is a stronger alternative. Thanks alot

1.5 yeah?

You can use the gearbox from the 1.8. RS5F70a. You eill need the gearbox, hear linkages, rear bracket and driveshafts.

I have most of that available (havent got the passenger driveshaft, only about £40 off ebay).

Would you happen to have a diff for the 1.5 as well or do u no where i can get one. Also would the 1.8 feel a lot different?

apparently the coilpack (post 2000) k11 micra have the same g/box kingdom, the yard i often use ships them to germany @ £200 each iirc

No i dont have any 1.5 parts im afraid. I dont think theres much difference in the ratios.

IIRC frank is correct as Darren on here used a micra gearbox.

The P10, P11, N14 & N15 ones no, but the P11-144 SR20 box fits. Again you need the same parts as the QG18 to fit it.

the Caribbean, Barbados. the engine its on is a QG16 (DE)+

Between those two boxes the SR20 and the QG18 which is the better option?

Id imagine the N16 QG18 will be easier to get hold of. I dont have any details on the P11-144 SR20 gearbox but i think Darren made a thread about it somewhere.
