Ok Im new to this so here goes.... I bought an 05 plate Almera last year, the s model?? but only recently noticed a strange knocking sound coming from the pedals, it only happens sometimes but there is no consistency with it, i.e sometimes I could be turning a corner and it would happen whereas other times I could be pulling away. What I will say is that it "knocked twice" as I accelarated the other day.

Im sorry this is very vague but its really all I have - any ideas?? :(
 
Hey Vicky welkom to the site.

Have you had anything replaced recently? It could be a worn anti roll bar drop link or maybe track rod end. Does it happen in a straight line when pulling away. Is it more noticeable when turning left or right?

Welcome Vicky. It's just occurred to me that you probably have traction control. It wouldn't be that pulsing on the pedal - similar to the way ABS kicks in ? Just a thought . . . . . :)

Great in the wet on the motorway when you hit standing water.
