My Daily Hooptieeee

Hey all. Finally got myself an n15 GTI, and the one I wanted from the start as well. Its a '99 GTi Phase 3, pretty happy with my new purchase.

It come with a few small mods - stainless manifold, downpipe & a Blitz induction kit.

Near-future mods & changes that I want to do are some wind deflectors since they look pretty nice, some tailored mats, and a good underseal on the whole car. I will also be looking into a subtle bit of lowering in the new year, probably.

As you can see, this one is in quite good condition and I'd like to keep it that way! :)

Really looking forward to see what you do with this!

I have read your full thread on the s13 on driftworks and it's IMO the nicest 13 Iv seen, so this should be awesome!

Thanks buddy! To be honest it's probably not going to be modified too heavily, some subtle mods will be nice though.

I think 40mm springs are in order which will happen in the new year. I would love to go with coilovers but I know I'd deck it too far and it'll be an impractical daily.

Although saying that I wouldn't mind seeing an Almera in real life on coilovers to see actually how much ground clearance it'll have. Hmmmm!

How much did you sell it for/buy it for? :D

It's soo nice (especially under the bonnet) and not much rust on the arches as well, how did you do that? :)

I bought it for a few quid over £1k including 10-month MOT, 6-month tax & delivered to my door! :innocent:

Arches are in very good condition and there is no signs of any rust at all on the rear turrets.

Car will be going for a professional underseal early in Jan :)

"not much rust"??? There is no rust!

I was gonna say, but I thought that would be a bit of an over-statement for Almera  How did you manage to keep it like that?

Thanks guys :) Well, got the next few days off work and the first time I've seen the car in daylight properly! Got to work with taking off the stock air intake and fitting the hard pipe & Blitz filter.

Has a nice lot of induction noise now and the car feels a LOT more lively to drive! Just took it for a 20min drive and its great fun now, really get-up-and-go style.

I also got rid of the retro-crap cassette radio!

And replaced it with mine out of my s13 - I never really use it that much to be honest.

Went for a drive, really enjoying the car. Took some pics,

Welcome over dude, I loved reading your project thread for the S13 on Driftworks, it looked awesome at every stage! That GTi looks great, some wicked photo of it above. Must have a pretty impressive camera.
