n15 1.4 1999 abs light on

hi all

i have an n15 1999 1.4 with an abs light on , MOT due
wondering can i try to disable/reset it?

Also the parking brake light is on for the handbrake regardless of handbrake
being up or down, easy fix?

There is a airbag reset guide in the technical section, top up your brake fluid the handbrake light comes on sometimes when the level is low.

Thanks damien, its the abs light thats on not the airbag? Wonder is it just a hard reset that will reset all trouble codes?

Do you have an OBD-II reader? Worth reading off the codes first, in case there is something more serious up. Handbrake could be a microswitch which might respond to some WD40.

Where is the OBD port?

On board diagnostic - big socket under the dashboard on the steering wheel side. Looks like an oval.
