removel of leather gear knob??????

Dose anyone know how to remove the leather gear knob on my gti, av tried tristing it an pullin it, just dont want to come off,lol. is there a clip holding it in???

Just twist it, but they are really hard to come off are commonly broken so a relacement is hard to come about too.

fook me took bloody ages to find that video! it dont work any more link is too old i reckon!

wrap a rag round the gearknob and get some big mole grips round it and just unscrew it.
