Hi All, long time no speak!

howdy, look out for darren if he wasn't here when you were mate - legend! ;)

welcome (back) too, love the n15 you had, but that n14 is fookin awesome.

in terms of the hottest mera now, maybe mine?! although that's mainly due to all the overheating and multiple head gasket failures :P  long story!

Well i'm loving the new forum set up. All these options took me a while to get to grips though lol

Cant beat the AOC for friendliness, i can see this being a long, friendly, thread!

Yep saw the white van man at Mod Nats and recognised Scotts plates straight away, didnt know he'd completed the DET conversion- fair play!

Hi Corbs, good to see a familiar face on here

Haha nice one Craig, sorry to hear you've had issues. Most of us have been lucky of the years with these badboys

Woah so much to catch up on!

I'll definitely check all these tips out. Theres a few familiar names in there too, glad to see some of you guys have kept improving them all this time.

Nice one tommo, i remember your car well when G owned it. I was parked next to it at MnM Engineering a couple of years back

Hey mate, nice of you to stick your head round the door as such :)
Now you've asked what's been going down here (loads of modifying, racing, bit of banter, and some funny pissed up times at the meets, Tommo's lovegod antics, Almera Love Club etc)
... But what have you been doing with yourself?
Joe

Welcome back! :)

Like Shaggy says what's new with yourself? What you driving these days?

Well firstly sorry its been so long since i last posted. Just been getting comfortable in my new role in my new job where i'm online that bit more.

Anyways. Well since i sold the Mera in 2007, i aimed to take a year out and bought a cheap non running GTiR from a neighbour of mine. Ofcourse i got the bug for boost soon after and treated it to a respray in time for JAE 2007 where i last saw a few of you guys. By ISTS 08 i'd completed the engine mods, uprated the suspension, brakes, install and shelled out for another immaculate D:Class retrim. After taking home Best Interior in Britain 2008 there, i returned to swan plating and EFL to bring the engine up to Flamera standards. I managed to win Ultimate Engine at Bromley Pageant 2008, Best Engine @ USC (featured on Fifth Gear) and finished the year off with Best Of Show at the Jap Show Finale. 2008 racked up some serious miles including a show i'd always dreamed of attending, GTi Magny Cours 2008.. If they ever host it again i recommend it to you all.

3 front cover features followed from that success including front cover of FastCar, Total Nissan and Performance Styling Retailer aswell as several foreign features too.

Since then i've been appointed judge for all the major Autuglym competitions such as ISTS, JTS, Mod Nats etc which has given me the opportunity to still show or track the car without the stress of prepping for comps midweek :D

More recently i tracked the R at the Lydden Raceway's BHP Show upsetting Porsche 911's on the way and most recently regained my title of Bromley Pageants Ultimate Engine 2009 only last week

hope i havent bored you all!

wow thats a lot of wins. you gonna be stickin round on here for a bit or is this just a 'flyin' visit? love the flamera, great inspiration for me

Cheers mate, very kind. Its a few wins, nothing like the Flamera though, that was over 50 trophies in 2 years

Yep i'll be around more often now i have more internet time :D

Hey Andy, I joined up after the Flamera era. Was amazed at the work you'd put into it and always thought it was great that the Almera had gotten so much publicity and attention through your car. Rightly deserved too. Welcome back :thumb:

I think you might be interested in some N16s now. For instance Almerasleeper recently put a supercharger in his QG18 :D

Cheers edk, sounds like another one to check out!

Haha, Joe i'll have a read shortly, dont want to miss that one!

welcome back mate.. have been lurking around but not posting much myself.. remember your flamera back in the day! one o the best looking almeras that have passed through these forums!! do you still know where it is and who has it??
