What is best ubgrades for stock 1.8 SE

Hi all , was wondering what upgrades/changes would you suggest, keeping in mind doing it for performance not looks. Its 05 SE 1.8 auto.

In terms of lights (abit off topic) i know there are LED W5W side lights which are more white then original, but can some one point me to more white ones for beam behind the lens? But still legal in uk roads like xenon.

As for sidelight bulbs. Best bet is led's for whiteness but not road legal but wouldnt imagine you will get much hastle from the police unless they are really picky. I got pulled in my old n16 for my exhaust and they checked all my lights which were led side lights in the front and led number platr bulbs and they never bothered. And the police are totally rediculous up my way.
 
if you want performance then a 1.8 almera auto was the wrong car to choose..

but on a serious note.. tyres-suspention-brakes-loose weight.. thats the order..
 
Yeah i just got side led's abit late now.
Tires are new might need to swap them around as back ones slightly better thread. Also got xenon lights for dim and full all 55w, slightly less then 60k but all E marked for road legal.

Manual gearbox, was thinking about that, i live in london camden same as central, up, down, up, down, up, up, down down. Might pass for now, but will have a look at suspencion and other bits, need abit of redex as i dont feel on my MPG that car doing well so might help abit with that.

Cheers for that, any specific make? Dont want to push too much on parts, i think over 7 psi ill need to change hose etc.
