Hello guys and gals this is my first time ive joined a nissan forum and hope to be a proud owner of a almera gti soon. but firstly i find this to be a very useful and informative site and hope to get as much info and tips once i get my almera on my driveway but just out of interest how much do almera gti fetch for a phase 1 no air-con and totally standard but very good condition.
 
Are anyone else on here interested in this car too! i dont mind i could buy my mates sri in good nick as the gti.
 
You really need to either go look at the car or get the seller to send you pictures behind the side carpets in the boot, check the rust situation.

No i wasnt buddy im going to keep it. i love 1990s jap motors. i got a 97 mk 1 mitsubishi carisma i do all the basic maintenance and the thing never fails me. It has 156,000 miles on the clock but its such a boring car to drive.
 
Welcome along. That is a fair price for that car as long as the rust isn't too bad. The Phase 1's somehow seem to fair better than the Phase 2's when it comes to corrosion. Good reliable engine at almost any mileage but especially so with 78k.
 
Thanks hally for the reply i definately know what your saying i got stung last year with a ford escort van off e-bay. i took it to my dads for a spot of welding until he hit the chassis with a hammer to check for more rust! and half the van fell on the floor. scrapped! and 500 quid down the toilet.
 
I have an slight inkling the fella may have sold it without the bidding really starting up.
I have been e-mailing him this morning and had no reply whatsoever and he told me he wants 850 cash.
 
Which is outside of ebay rules and you can report him. Don't do it!

Yes your right! but what would reporting him do if he has already sold the car.
Him or her do not care they will set up another e-mail account under a different name. Anyhow another one's loss is another one's gain.
 
Mij ive found another on autotrader im going have a good look @ tomorrow in red phase 2 if it dont float my boat, i will let you know as your car dont look half bad ok.
 
Im going to look @ gti tommorrow in birmingham i have a few tips with what to look out for, and im ok with servicing etc. but anymore tips would be appreciated. or could u guys give me a list. on here so i could print off!
 
Welcome along,i've learned so much from the guys on here they really know there stuff,so pay the membership fee and save yourself aload of cash.
As already mentioned get pics of inside boot rear arches very common rust problem area,i had mine totally rebuilt due to rust alot of people would of scrapped it i couldnt do that.
 
That one from Blackburn used to be from round here. I sold him the nismo ;) grille. last time I saw it, it was immaculate can't believe it's spares and repairs! It's had a few owners since I last saw it.
