GTi front subframe change

My cars subframe seems to be quite rusty so I might have to replace it :( Has anyone done it? What else should I replace at the same time?
 
Are you talking about the rear subframe, as in, the two main frame rails which start from behind the rear bumper?

Or are you talking about the front subframe (which the control arms connect to etc?)
 
Oops! Three weeks of night shifts are messing with my focus, it seems. Carry on :p

Edit: although, what do you guys call the body support frame "rails" in english? The ones in the rear.

Rear 'chassis legs' or 'rails' yes. Usually 'legs' though in a monocoque construction. 'Rails' more commonly refer to a separate chassis.
