Eddies Ride

also id check the oe gaskets up against the head and then against the header and mark in marker pen any overlaps  these fit DE & VE's too well for my liking...

or............................. as i said check the gasket to see where needs doing lol
remember more of the flow/pulse runs along the top of the header.

Good work eddie.

Maybe take it too a machine shop to check the trueness of the flange plates?.....fit is terrrible on these. I could never get my downpipe joint to seal due to it being out of true.

yeh mine always showed obvious signs of carbin build up on the downpipe gasket when removed.

as joe said, actually looks good this :001_icon16:

bin the collector gasket that came with the manifold and buy a copper one from ebay US.

the stock one will fail in a few weeks.

Strange.... Mine's been on for ~18months and has never blown lol.
Probably cos I used beeefy stainless 17mm Nuts & Bolts to clamp the fucker, no messin!

Just put the gasket on, if it leaks, who gives a fuck, fix it when it does. I ran 2nd hand gaskets on all mine, some leaked, some didnt. And dont use any instant gasket on exhaust parts before the cat otherwise the bits that flake off inside end up in the cat causing a restriction.

I'm gonna be running a copper gasket on both the block/manifold and manifold/downpipe with the toyosports header along with some brass nuts and bolts. Not planning on ever having to remove mine though...
