Im wacking some S3s in my eGT because I havent got the money for a remap, so a drop in cam makes most sense, wouldnt bother mapping standard though, unless you've got some wedge to get rid of!
 
at every ponit in the bolt-on N/A game, yes a remap would be ideal. however from a cost point of view *i mean c'mon we all drive almera's here LOl not Porsche GT3's. 95% of folks would remap at the so called end of the bolt-on's.

along the way if cams net you 8bhp or 18bhp, does it really matter if the end result is Epic? ie 143bhp too 19_bhp or even more?

my advice: buy a daughter board/piggyback, get it mapped first off, watch the tuner work, get hold of the software and licence, and then each time you add bolt ons, map yourself using the base map as a guide :)
