I've bought a 2001 Nissan Primera P11-144 Sport+. Big shout out and thanks to Spyke for a pleasant sale. First time I've owned an SR20 too! Comfy, solid, torquey and smart. I've driven about 250 miles now, both motorway and a blat round the Derbyshire Dales. Loving it so far and I'm impressed with the fuel economy too.

She's done 150k and as such there's a few nicks and bumps as to be expected, but the engine runs smoothly and there's no unwanted random noises from that or the chassis. I feel this will be a great runner for me over the winter months. What happens after then, we shall see, but I have no plans at present to do anything except a 5 stud conversion so I can throw on my GTR wheels with winter tyres.

Ed, you could take a pic of a dog turd and make it look nice.
I guess when you pay peanuts for a car you dont mind so much about MPG, as long as its reliable. You should hit 40mpg on longer runs.

Can you drop GT/GTi cams & header in this for extra hp?

Its not a true eco daily but its a nice daily

It's good enough for my needs. The Starlet was too small to use for work and not great on fuel long distance (read: anything above 65mph). This fixes both those issues. I was looking at another N16 DCi or even Di but they aren't going cheap enough yet.

Lol, Steve nothing has changed since you last saw it!

When I had this, it would easily do an indicated 45mpg+ on the motorway at a steady 75mph. Even round town with the air con on it never went below about 32mpg.

It was surprisingly torquey and very smooth.

Aye, the front is no looker. I like the rest though, especially the rear light design. If I keep this long term it's probably getting a GT front end and skirts.
