Is it possible to fit a front anti roll bar and is it worth doing?

Hi guys,
My 1.4 Almera Equation is currently on lowering springs with standard struts (KYB Excel G on the rear). I'd say its handling has improved massively. I definitely want to add some Superpro rear trailing arm bushes at some point. However, my car doesn't have any anti roll bars at all so I'm wondering if it's even possible to fit one at the front, from say a GTi. If so is it definitely worth doing? I have plans to do an SR20 conversion so I'm just wanting to make sure the rest of the car is up to the job beforehand.

Cheers

The n15 is prone to understeer, so in theory fitting one will make it worse. The rear trailing arm bushes will be a great mod.
If after fitting the bushes you find the handling a bit too 'snappy' fit a front ARB to balance it out.

Pretty sure all the mountings are there ready and waiting. May need to get the saddles, bolts, bushes and new drop links with the ARB though

Are you sure it doesn't have a front Anti-Roll Bar? All N15's came with them as standard unless it's been removed previously?

Maybe there's a chance it could have been removed before I owned the car but there definitely isn't one. It is a poverty spec car mind so I'm not sure if it was supposed to come with an ARB or not.

Yes, they all come with them as standard. A GTi roll bar is thicker than the one your car would have had as standard.

Well in that case, I'll get some rear trailing arm bushes first and see how I get on with those then I may consider a front ARB. Cheers for your input guys.

I remember a few guys, years back, removed their ARB to improve handling.
Ah ok, that's interesting. Where was the improvement shown? Also, are there any other suspension related components you would recommend upgrading? I've got a GTi front strut brace (though it has been modified to fit my struts so only uses the 2 outer top nuts)

I had a 96 POV spec saloon without one also iirc had manual adjust mirrors, did have PS though

Mine has power steering and driver's airbag. No rev counter though lol. Tbh, I'd say that its simplicity has worked favourably over its 17 years of existence.
