Something's not right. It wouldn't start :(
The video's just uploading now..
Its those bastard fuel lines and carbon canister I bet.
Engine check light was flashing too.
Joe

make sure you have the 2 fuel lines on the right way round dude, hose from top of fuel filter goes to fuel rail and regulator on the way back out

The video..

Sorry about the dodgy strip lights..
At least I'm sure I connected up the starter motor right hahaah :)
And Wezz I'll be double and triple checking the fuel lines tomorrow.
Joe

Are you using a SR20 ECU?
Fuel filter the right way round?
Dizzy 180* out? or leads wrong?

I dont know what to say dude, have you tried all the obvious...

Plug and lead out, earthed on block, checking for spark.
Fuel pump priming on ignition
Fuel getting into chamber, can you smell it etc?
All connections checked i,e crank + cam sensors all correct?
Dizzy ok?

The check engine light also flashes with a NATS problem, just to throw another spanner in the works!

That's what makes me think it's the immobiliser, mine did the same when I tried a different ecu.

hes got the ecu, key and barrel from stufa i believe. however, if the ecu has been unplugged, will it all need re-coding? also, unless he took the dizzy off which i dont think he has, the sparks should be ok because i read out the order, albeit in the dark lol cant see that carbon jobby affecting running either, like dale said.

did you get the other bit from stu that goes in the steering column?

the "NATS IMMU" on this pic?

hiya, yeah im pretty sure everything is there,

ok, you could double check the ht leads n plugs ?
did you swap over them nats wiring/boxes ?
keep up the good work fella :D

TUESDAY
Phwoarrr what a day!
Started this morning by doing all the checks you lot suggested (Thanks added where necessary)
I checked all the earths, they were all good, but the Check light still flashed.
Next I looked for that NATS IMMU box under the dash.. Found it no problem, so I decided to try plugging the GTi one in, and the Engine check light stopped flashing :D
But it still wouldn't start :(
Next I whipped out one of the spark plugs to check for fuel/spark..
And it was soaked with oil! So I began cleaning the holes and plugs one by one..
Checked for spark and there was a strong one :)
So I put all the plugs back in and had another go...

As you can see/hear, It started fine! :):)
Since then I've disconnected the carbon canister completely, just got a few breathers to block off now.
And I've got my Sexy P11 GT valve cover amongst other engine bay bling to fit :)
More updates later!
Joe
