n15 gti oil

Is magnetec ok i thought i'd try it this time round was awesome in my mrk 2 Astra GTE back in the day lol
I used magnatec 5w30 before and it is not recommended if u like to rev the car. The magnatec gets "watery". U want the oil to be viscous and when it gets watery it looses all the benefits of lubricity.

its fine, 10/40 is perfect.

Is that daily use?

Ok the majority of people travelling say 100 miles a week wouldn't change every 1000.

Lol. Every 1000 miles would be every two weeks for me.

The recommended 5w30 is definately too runny for high (these days 'normal' as most of us are on 100k+) mileage and/or spirited use.

Running Motul 8100 Xlite 0W-30.

Is that a winter weight oil?

Any oil is good a long as it's changed on a regular basis, just take into account your personal requirements, ie daily, track car, high reving etc. I use an ester synthetic changed once a year ( <1000 miles ).
