N15 GTI run-in with Corsa VXR......

On my way home I picked up a 1.6 Corsa VXR..... 60-100 nothing in it, neck in neck, 100-130 the VXR pulls about 3-4 car lenghts out under me.... I thought shit, that 1.3 turbo corsa is bloody quick!!
I think I'feel better now knowing it is a 1.6 with 190bhp and 0-60 in 6.8 against my stock (except for timing and filter) GTI, I was impressed...

If it was a miserable b@stard in a stadard blue GTI along a northern motorway then yes, likely me... saying that, the motorway was mad on Friday. Anything below 90 and you were keeping traffic up!! The Corsa had the joy of kicking my arse several times for approx 20miles...don't think the lad expected an R reg almeira to give him that much griefe! Thinking about about it, engine bhp of the GTI did 148bhp (140 000 miles ago...) and the Corsa 190ish so it co-incides with the distance he left me by. One thing I do know, and someone could possibly confirm this, but I'm positive one willl get 150 clock speed easily?? You just seem to keep ticking over no-end.
 
I managed 139 on the clocks in the fully stripped white one. That was flat for some time and it wouldnt go any further. Probably about 125 actual as Sam said above.
