N16 bumper grill

Hi Guys
Apologies if this is a bit of a noob question but the two grills on the N16 bumper, are they held in with clips or bolts?
Just wondering as I was thinking of taking them off to paint, I have painted my nissan badge satin black so it makes the faded grilles stick out a little bit. Also is there anywhere I can buy new grilles without the silver strips through the middle? If not I'll probably just paint or wrap.

Clips. You need to remove the chrome slats, clips on the rear of the grille, use some pliers or flat screwdriver, then there are metal clips holding the black plastic mesh in. More easily done with bumper off the car to be honest.

and nope, no other grille inserts available. They look ok with wrap or paint on the chrome bits yeah.

ah nice one probably will go for black satin mesh with carbon wrapped slats.

is the bottom grill underneath the number-plate the same? may as well paint that too
