Looking good that Corbs, with a bit of tlc this could be Mint.
The good thing about Autechs is they still look great even when there dirty!

Saw this today. Aside from needing a lick of paint here and there it's looking great :). Please get the rest of the tint glue off though lol.

Gave Audrey some lovin this weekend. Clutch had never worked properly since owning the car, very stiff crap etc

So set about removing the gearbox to give it a good clean out and re grease everything turned out the clutch disc was just about spent so we put in a better one.

We also replaced the manifold/downpipe as the long serving SSAC has cracked itself to death.

Where the bumper has rubbed the paint off around the bolt holes on the wing, it is bare metal and will rust soon if nothing is done about it, so everything that has come off will be fixed and sprayed by the springtime.

It's mad how much difference the clutch has made (With a custom sam saver bracket).
Previously, if the car was in 1st with the clutch pressed, it would creep forward as it was still partially engaged with no adjustment left on the cable. Now it's amazingly smooth.
The clutch came out of the red GTi we scrapped.
Time will tell on this, but 2 of the springs were loose and rattling on the pressure plate. At first I thought this to be the two bits of bent metal around it not 'clamping' into place, but it was actually the springs not pushing out far enough. This was dealt with by sticking a screwdriver into the gaps in the spring and hammering it, so the spring would extend out and hold itself in place.
Maybe it's solved, maybe the clutch plate will shatter, we'll see. It only has to last 900 miles more.

Iv had 2 fail due to the area around the springs splitting, one had a spring come out the other cracked around all 4 but I caught it in time, complete pain as I now doesn't really trust the 3rd disc that's in the car, the 2 that failed where both double sprung, one Nissan b15 and one valeo p10 clutch which was also double sprung
