So I have been away from N15 ownership for the last 6 months now. rolling around in a 1.3 Micra that paid for itself in parts it had stuck to it.
The intention was to drive the Micra until i was debt free, expecting this to take AGES. however thanks to a big kick of overtime and a few good bonuses I was able to clear it in about 4 months and was in the market for a new car. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted and i looked at a few before the perfect one came up, and ended up traveling to Poole, Dorset to buy it.
Its a 2005 Toyota Corolla T-sport, Converted by TTE to the compressor edition.
Specs as it left TTE:
1.8L VVTL-i engine with Roots type supercharger, producing 225hp @ 7800rpm / 169ftlbs torque @ 3600rpm
Eibach shocks and springs all round (lowered 10mm compared to a T-Sport)
Twin exhaust tailpipes
Ally top strut brace
2 x lower front 4 point braces
Mocal 12 row oil cooler and thermostatic sandwich plate
TTE rear diffuser
"lightweight" 17" multispoke alloys with 225/45/17 tyres
Larger brakes with stock calipers pushed out further (not sure on size tbh)
My plans are simple... leave it as it is until the "common faults" manifest.
the exhausts have a tendancy to snap, as they are cantilevered by design, so it'll be a new catback when it breaks.
the eibach shocks have been known to break early on too, so if these go it will be BC's as the OEM replacements are discontinued.
finally i will probly fit a K&N filter for whiney noise goodness.
