Cheers dude, most kind! :D

It does take time though.... unless you have lots of disposable income! Mine has been gradually done over the years, but its at a point now where I'm very happy with it... crazy to think I have had it just over 4 years now!

Simple rule with the Almera, keep it clean and subtle!

Proving that it's still easy to type even with a mouthful of Schindlers cock.

Haha nice one pal, just appreciating someones work and you have to comment on my English, didn't think I was sitting my A level English language exam on a owners club

There are loads of cars out there...

But after a good long think, I've worked a few things out and although I can afford something new, in April I have my Insurance renewal. So I may as well wait until then, as I will be 25 with 7 years NCB (touch wood), so that should make things even cheaper for me.

I appreciate the responses, as I now have a good idea of what I would get for the Almera and I don't think it would take long to sell judging from the interest.

Please can a Mod tidy this thread and remove all the 'thinking of selling' related posts, as I will start a For Sale thread when I come to do it.

Cheers!

I think this was the only Major update that is missing from my thread, since the forum went down...

My last trip to the Dyno, Mid January 2012:

They still had my old run (red line) on their system, which was: (THIS IS BEFORE THE TOMEI CAMS's)

158.1 BHP Flywheel
130.5 BHP Wheels
135 lbs/ft Torque

Latest run (Blue line) (WITH TOMEI CAM'S):

169 BHP Flywheel
140 BHP Wheels
154 lbs/ft Torque

Here is the graph:

169bhp.jpg

So roughly 11BHP and 20lb's of Torque from the cam's...
As you can see from the graph that it's noticable right across the range. So I was very happy considering they are just 'drop in'.

SPEC AS IT WAS ON LATEST RUN:

'Dyno-Dynamics' Dyno
101k Miles
V-Power
Tomei Poncam's
Toyosports manifold, to 2.5" system, with 200Cell Sports Cat
Apex'i Power Intake Filter with cold feed
Advanced ignition timining 17 Degrees

Note, that the spec was the same on the original run and on the exact same dyno, apart from the Cam's and less mileage.
So you can take this as a direct comparison of Standard Cam's VS Tomei Cam's.

Very happy to be honest and its good to see a direct comparison of the Tomei's against standards.

Happy Days

Well its bad news again..... Had some old lady pull out in front of me, I managed to avoid the full face of my car going into the side of her as I steered to try and get round her, but she stopped dead in the road, meaning I didn't have much of a chance, so the impact happened on my drivers side corner.

Well, I'm gutted, something similar happened a year (ish) ago when someone pulled out on me, but this time it's the other side.

Definately an insurance write off this time, as its worse then the last time. The only reason it wasn't written off last time is because I knew somebody at a body repair center that could get around it, even then it was border line.... Unfortunately I don't have this option this time.

So anyway, some pics.... :(

From this angle you can see the lights have been pushed back...

In the pics it doesn't look too bad, but there is the damage that you can see, plus all the fixings behind, radiator has been pushed back too... The wing is fubarred and flared, possibly the bonnet too as there is damage to the corner....

Due to the value of the car and the damage I described, my insurance company are sending it straight to salvage for classification.

As some of you know I have been thinking of a change for a while now, so maybe this is the time to do it.

Its definately going to be a category C or D... (Well I can't see it being worse then that)
So my intention is to take the payout for the car, and buy it back at 10%. Then I will break it for parts to try and build up the funds for something new. Although, I do have a massive amount of love for this car, so if I can't find something I want, I might repair it after buying it back, we shall see, as I have a lot to think about.

So watch this space if you think there are any parts that might be of use to you.

Cheers for now!
