Well its bad news again..... Had some old lady pull out in front of me, I managed to avoid the full face of my car going into the side of her as I steered to try and get round her, but she stopped dead in the road, meaning I didn't have much of a chance, so the impact happened on my drivers side corner.
Well, I'm gutted, something similar happened a year (ish) ago when someone pulled out on me, but this time it's the other side.
Definately an insurance write off this time, as its worse then the last time. The only reason it wasn't written off last time is because I knew somebody at a body repair center that could get around it, even then it was border line.... Unfortunately I don't have this option this time.
So anyway, some pics....
From this angle you can see the lights have been pushed back...
In the pics it doesn't look too bad, but there is the damage that you can see, plus all the fixings behind, radiator has been pushed back too... The wing is fubarred and flared, possibly the bonnet too as there is damage to the corner....
Due to the value of the car and the damage I described, my insurance company are sending it straight to salvage for classification.
As some of you know I have been thinking of a change for a while now, so maybe this is the time to do it.
Its definately going to be a category C or D... (Well I can't see it being worse then that)
So my intention is to take the payout for the car, and buy it back at 10%. Then I will break it for parts to try and build up the funds for something new. Although, I do have a massive amount of love for this car, so if I can't find something I want, I might repair it after buying it back, we shall see, as I have a lot to think about.
So watch this space if you think there are any parts that might be of use to you.
Cheers for now!
