Like all good things, it does eventually come to an end.
Almera's are getting few and far between. N15 are rusting away, and N16 are being tucked away in a pensioners garages, or getting scrapped due to timing chain issues.
He is a thief and mongrel. He has conned countless people, even Greg from Gspec.

Sorry didn't read that bit. Cam sensor error comes up when chain is out of tolerance.
Take off the cam cover and check the tensioner as already stated.
You're meant to get a woosh of air when you remove the fuel filler cap.
I have known of the n16 fuel filter clogging ( integral with the pump ). It also sounds like a failing fuel pump.
Its all under the back seat bench, so have a look.
Get a code reading, or i believe you can use a jumper on the diagnostic port, then read the flashes displayed on the dashboard.
The procedure is in the haynes manual.
Phase 1 ( 95-97 ) having different diameter and length springs compared to Phase 2 models.
A phase 1 N15 has the radio aerial over the front door.
You could fit those eibach springs, but only if you also fitted corresponding Phase 1 dampers.
