Ok, Must be a a lowport thing not having it,

I wonder if it would be beneficial to/possible to add one to my build? anyone got an idea if it will fit, does it take place of the bare crank bearings in the lowport Sr?

They come in the old non roller lowports too, I think it's just an 8cw thing. They can be used with the main bearing caps but you jeed longer studs to suit

well the *hx bearings range have larger clearances of 0.001" over the middle size nissan bearing they are based on, like I said I'd hope for better numbers but its your engine :)

.....phone.....

If i was building a 300hp+ DET i would measure everything properly. A little slackness in a hot running, abused engine isn't always a bad thing.
Good luck with the build dude.

Had a few hours tinkering with the lump today got the pistons and rods in the block and them all torqued and angled up..
